Kanye’s SNL appearance was kinda meh. But when the cameras were off, he started talking. That’s when it got interesting.

Kanye is back to talking about running for president in 2020. Not that we should have been surprised, though, because you never know what version of Kanye is going to show up on any given night in any given place. 🎥: @chrisrock pic.twitter.com/yObaal85CA

Wowwwww only 3 people clapped. And frankly, we were hoping for some extra weirdness because the afternoon of the show, Kanye let it known that he’s changing his name to “YE.“
Variety gives his performance a rating of “meh“–and I’d have to agree. I’m one of the biggest Kanye fans on the planet. Lol but nah this ain’t it, chief #snl pic.twitter.com/1eAhcQOrNC

But at the end of the night when the cameras were off, Kanye YE went on a political rant, offering up his praise for Donald Trump and reaffirming his conviction to run for president in 2020. Last night’s SNL season opening with Kanye West was…okay.
