Bono isn’t the only one canceling shows because he lost his voice. It happened to Dave Grohl, too.

This required the postponement of two Canadian dates: Tonight (September 4) at Rogers Place in Edmonton and Thursday’s gig at the Saddledome in Calgary. The new dates are October 22 (Edmonton) and October 23 (Calgary). Dave is now on vocal rest and had this to say: “That’s the last time I make out with Bono.” (Bono lost his voice the same night in Berlin forcing U2 to bail on a show after just a few songs.) Dave Grohl didn’t feel right after the Foo Fighters gig at Safeco Field in Seattle on Saturday night. The show scheduled for Vancouver on Friday will go ahead. His voice was raw, ragged…and then gone entirely.
