Two seniors escape from retirement home so they can go to the Wacken metal festival

Both men were found around 3 am Friday at the Wacken Open Air Festival, the biggest all-metal festival in the world. Panic ensued and the police were notified. Some 75,000 people were at the sold-out event to see everyone from Danzig and Judas Priest to the Red Hot Chili Peppers and, er, Witch Taint. There’s no word on how they made it to the festival or if they actually got inside the gates. The men were well, but a little “disoriented and dazed.” However, they were a little reticent to return to the nursing home because they seemed to be enjoying themselves. If this story hasn’t been optioned for a movie yet, it’s just a matter of time. Sometime Thursday night (August 2), the night staff at a German nursing home in Dithmarschen noticed that two men were missing. (Via Deutsche Welle)
A police escort needed to be arranged to get them back to their rooms. The story ends well.
