His first assignment was Jethro Tull at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto on July 3.   Andrei’s friend Khashayar had this to say about a recent gig at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto:
Considering the stage props and gadgets they are using on this tour, probably this is even closer to what Ian Anderson have had in mind as a visual-lyrical performance. When the collage of all such faces came together in one final picture on the screen, you could feel the weight and excitement of a lifetime of achievements in musical experimentation in your heart and bones. From that vintage TV screen in the beginning to the “Locomotive Breath” at the end, it was one hell of a ride. Another particularly nice touch to it all was the introductions of previous band members and guitar legends. The group has been plugging away for half a century and don’t seem interested in stopping. Ian and the band wouldn’t let you blink a moment. Photographer Andrei Chlytchkov will be covering gigs for this site.

Eldorado (from Fully Completely)
Morning Moon (We Are the Same)
Grace (“Grace Too” from Day for Night)
Gems (“The Last of the Unplugged Gems” from Road Apples)
50MC (Mission Cap) (Fully Completely)

I assume they considered names based on “Blow at High Dough,” “Fiddler’s Green,” “Vapor Trails,” and “Fire in the Hole.”
And someone must have suggested “Ahead by a Century” (i.e. They’re all named after Hip songs. “A Head by a Century”)
Details on the strains (indica and sativa and their posted THC concentrations) will become more clear as the legalization date draw closer. What a surprise, huh? As investors in UP Cannabis (also known as Newstrike and with the ticker symbol HIP.V) one of the companies that will provide legal marijuana come October 17 (oddly enough, the first anniversary of Gord Downie’s death), the Tragically Hip have unveiled the names of five strains of weed that will soon go on sale.
