Malu – Aprendiz (La Noche De Cadena 100) (Live)

Y te lo debo a ti"
Maldito el maestro

Remendando mis heridas
Que no sepa darte amor
Y maldita la aprendiz
Que tus manos son cristales rotos
"estribillo"
Con mentiras otra vez
Me estoy haciendo mas cruel
Dices que te estoy haciendo daño

Lo aprendi de ti
Maldigo mi inocencia

Puedo ser asi
Me estoy haciendo mas cruel

No digas que no entiendes como
Maldigo lo que amo

No me reproches

"me has enseñado tu
Con jirones de tu piel

Nunca crei que te veria
Para hacer sufrir
Remendando mis heridas
Que con el paso de los años
Con jirones de tu piel
Me duelen tus caricias

De ti aprendio mi corazon
Dices que te estoy haciendo daño
Tus besos saben tan amargos
Bajo mis pies
Si te estoy haciendo daño
Me has enseñado tu
Lo aprendi de ti
Porque noto
Si alguna vez fui mala
Te maldigo a ti
Que con el paso de los años
De ti aprendio mi corazon

Que no sepa darte amor
No me reproches
De ti aprendio mi corazon
Cuando te ensucias los labios
Nunca crei que te veria

De ti aprendio mi corazon
Tu has sido mi maestro

Malu – Invisible (La Noche De Cadena 100) (Live)

[Pre-Estribillo]
Y ponerme un disfraz hecho de luz
De desaparecer
Esperando mi caída
Ser invisible
Muerden las miradas

[Verso 4]
Y me estoy rompiendo
De desaparecer
Demasiado fuego
Aprender a volar, ser invisible
Y ponerme un disfraz hecho de luz
[Verso 2]
Quiero el poder
Aprender a volar, ser invisible
[Pre-Estribillo]
Ser invisible
[Estribillo]

Todas estas trampas?
Demasiado ego

Ser invisible
¿Quién le puso al juego
¿Como desenredo

Tanto puntos ciegos

Camuflaje total blanco y azul
Ser invisible
[Estribillo]

[Estribillo]
Demasiada agua
Y ponerme un disfraz hecho de luz
Ser invisible
Camuflaje total blanco y azul
Camuflaje total blanco y azul
Calles sin salidas
Quiero el poder

[Verso 3]
Porque pesan toneladas
[Verso 1]
Ser invisible
Brilla más el miedo
Un millón de suelos
Aprender a volar, ser invisible
Tantos nudos de palabras?

Con las luces apagadas

Stone Temple Pilots – Interstate Love Song

Your lies
Breathing is the hardest thing to do
Promises of what I seemed to be
[Chorus]
Leaving on a Southern train
Only watched the time go by
Goodbye
[Verse 2]
All of these things I said to you
So do you laugh or does it cry
Only yesterday you lied
Only watched the time go by
For what I’ve read between the lines
Reply?
[Verse 1]
Only yesterday you lied
With all I’ve said and all that’s dead for
Waiting on a Sunday afternoon
Leaving on a Southern train
[Chorus]
Promises of what I seemed to be
You lied

All of these things you said to me
You
Feeling like a hand in rusted shame

L7 – Pretend That We’re Dead

When we pretend that we’re dead
Come on, come on, come on come on
When we pretend that we’re dead
When we pretend that we’re dead
What’s up with what’s going down

When we pretend that we’re dead

When we pretend that we’re dead
When we pretend that we’re dead

They can’t hear a word we’ve said

They neither moral nor majority
When we pretend that we’re dead
They’ve got us in the palm of every hand
In every city, in every town
They can’t hear a word we’ve said
When we pretend that we’re dead

Or just say no to individuality
They can’t hear a word we’ve said
Cramping styles is the plan
Wake up and smell the coffee
Turn the tables with our unity
When we pretend that we’re dead

Foo Fighters – Times Like These

And leave it all behind?
It’s times like these time and time again
I’m a brand new sky

It’s times like these you learn to live again
Burning off alone
I’m the one that drives away
I am a new day rising
I am a one way motorway
Then follows you back home
I’m a wild light blinding bright
It’s times like these you learn to live again
It’s times like these time and time again
It’s times like these you learn to love again
To hang the stars upon tonight
It’s times like these you give and give again

Do I stay or run away
It’s times like these you learn to love again
I am a little divided
I am a street light shining
It’s times like these you give and give again

ONE OK ROCK – C.H.A.O.S.M.Y.T.H.

And live as if you’ll die today
So everybody ever be buddies
けど気付けば大人になってって
Make your own storyline
もう今年から忙しくなるよな?
Days we grew up are days we will treasure show
Our lives are going on
Dream as if you will live forever
それぞれが選んだ道へ
Curtain has risen
時が経ち老いていっても かけがえのない宝物は
ただ楽しくて そんな日々が ずっと続くと思ってた
Days we grew up are days we will treasure show
泣き笑い なぐさめ合い so 終わらない歌 今歌うよ
でも変わらずあの場所はあるから
ふざけ合い たわいもない くだらない話をしては
Dream as if you will live forever
Dream as if you will live forever
And live as if you’ll die today, ooh
泣き笑い なぐさめ合い so 終わらない歌 今歌うよ
夢を僕は追い続けてるよ
でも変わらずこの場所はあるから
Everybody show is beginning
Make your own storyline
It lasts forever
Days we grew up are days we will treasure show
Everybody show is beginning
It lasts forever
ふざけ合い たわいもない くだらない話をしては
それと共に夢もでかくなっていって
ふざけ合い たわいもない くだらない話をしては
And live as if you’ll die today
Everybody show is beginning
Curtain has risen
We all, we all have unforgettable and precious treasure
So everybody ever be buddies
Dream as if you will live forever
And live as if you’ll die today
相変わらずあの頃に話した
Make your own storyline
Dream as if you will live forever
これから先もずっと 一生ずっと
目に見えぬ 形じゃない 大切なメモリー
And live as if you’ll die today
So everybody ever be buddies
Curtain has risen
泣き笑い なぐさめ合い so 終わらない歌 今歌うよ
And live as if you’ll die today
悪さやバカもしたね よく怒られたね
Dream as if you will live forever
We have to carry on

Random music news for Thursday, March 29, 2018

Random music news for Thursday, March 29, 2018
And a big mystery. Take a look at this. People think it might end up listening to us and gathering even more data. And here’s still more on the Queen biopic. Looking to really, really, really delete yourself from Facebook? Damn, I wish I’d invested in something back then. (Via Larry)
And now, an Iron Maiden pinball machine. Jack? And yes, our smart speakers do listen to us. You may end up being rather terrified. And why do so many weird things swirl about Beyonce? Here are ten really bad instances of product placements in music videos. This is another explanation about how music and mathematics are inextricably intertwined. Here’s how to do that. You might want to download your Facebook data to see what the company knows about you. Is that you? On this day in 1999, the Dow hit 10,000 for the first time. Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones has been declared cancer-free. The company made some super-stupid real estate deals and now it’s paying for it. It hasn’t been easy. Want. Let’s dig into that. Why is dating a musician so hard? The bankruptcy of iHeart Radio in the US is NOT the end of radio. This is cool: a gig in an abandoned Toronto subway station. And now, some music news for March 29, 2018. It’s complicated. No wonder Facebook is delaying the release of their smart speaker. #WhoBitBeyonce is a real thing. Read this. Need a really portable recording studio?

Going to gigs is not only good for you, but it could extend your life

Going to gigs is not only good for you, but it could extend your life
About one gig every two weeks. So what’s the right dosage?   Combining all of our findings with O2’s research, we arrive at a prescription of a gig a fortnight which could pave the way for almost a decade more years of life. That seems to be the sweet spot for scoring “happiness, contentment, productivity and self-esteem at the highest level.”
And don’t think you can just get away with listening to music in private at home. Ergo, it’s not too far of a leap to say that going to concerts can help you live longer. Extrapolating that, high levels of well-being are directly linked to increased lifespans–of up to nine years, too. If we go deeper into the study, we learn that going to gigs increases your feeling of self-worth, helps you form closer bonds to other people and provides a ton of mental stimulation. They’ve sold more than 20 million concert tickets since the place opened in 2007. Just one caveat: This study was commissioned by O2 in London, the world’s most popular and entertainment venue. The report, which comes to us from Goldsmith’s University Associated Lecturer Patrick Fagan (an expert in behavioral science) says that experiencing a gig for just twenty minutes can result in a 21% increase in feelings of well-being. A new university study says that going to see live music can help you live longer. Over two-thirds of those surveyed say that “experiencing live music makes them feel happier than simply listening to music at home – showcasing that the shared experience, which performed so strongly in the research, is key to increasing well-being.”
Here’s a quote from Fagan:
Our research showcases the profound impact gigs have on feelings of health, happiness and wellbeing – with fortnightly or regular attendance being the key. Think they’ve got a dog in his hunt?

Spotify is having some weird effects on music–and not what you’d expect, either

Spotify is having some weird effects on music–and not what you’d expect, either
Things changed a little big when Emile Berliner released his rotating flat disc. There’s a lot more worth reading here. And take song titles, for example. Things expanded even further with the advent of tape (especially the cassette) and, of course, the 74-minute-plus CD. The nature of songwriting and it the performance of music had to be altered to fit the cylinder. Choruses are being put up front. But this new delivery mechanism has resulted in new twists that no one saw coming. Intro times are being shortened. Now we’re in the digital era, where we’re completely unconcerned about song length. Multiple hooks are used when one used to do just fine. Songs and compositions were as short or as long as they needed to be. As such, we would expect that the names of albums and songs are uncorrelated to their musical success. From the album, to the song, to now, the stream, music has been disentangled from it’s larger context. But then came along Edison’s wax cylinder with its capacity of about two minutes. The form and methods by which music is distributed have always had a major effect on the nature of the music for itself. Suddenly, a song had to be finished within a prescribed time. Before recorded technology came along in the late 18th century, music was unconstrained by time. Because it’s so easy to skip unfamiliar songs, writers and producers are doing whatever they can to hold our attention until the magic 30-second mark, the time when Spotify pays out for a stream. In 1948, Columbia introduced the 12-inch LP, increasing capacity to around 22 minutes per side, something that opened up all kinds of compositional possibilities. In addition, the number of words in a song title has evolved. Song titles become less meaningful
With the death of record stores, radio, and to a lesser extent, iTunes, the unit of music delivered to customers has shrunk. This is from Medium.com. Number of unique words in song titles from 2000–2008 = 2113
Number of unique words in song titles from 2009–2017 = 2512
There were 19% more unique words in song titles in the post-Spotify era. One way to measure this is the number of unique words in a song title. Although there does appear to be an art to naming a hit song (or say book), the longer tail of music means more random song titles chosen by artists instead of record executives. The disc pretty much cemented the average length of a popular song at under four minutes. The capacity of a 10-inch 78 RPM record increased to about four minutes–and, unlike it a cylinder, it had a second side, doubling the overall capacity.

No Auto Tune here, kids: Marvin Gaye’s isolated vocals from “I Heard It Through the Grapevine”
In the days before Auto Tune and other studio bumfluffery, a singer really had to know how to sing. Awesome. Case in point: Marvin Gaye’s isolated vocal from “I Heard It Through the Grapevine.”

BONUS: Listen to these raw Beach Boys harmonies.

Late for class student required to dance as punishment. The result is epic.

This is college. Hey, might as well make the most of your embarrassment, right? In the case of Brandon Goderich, his lateness meant he was subjected to the agreed-upon punishment of having to dance in front of everyone in his American literature class. pic.twitter.com/LL7hIOgESv
— vane (@_vvanee) March 26, 2018 It’s always awkward being late for class, especially those withering looks from the teacher/professor/lecturer. My professor makes you dance when you’re late to his class.

5.1 audio? Phht. Anyone interested in a 13.2 home theatre?

If you have a home theatre, you probably have a 5.1 system, which means a total of six speakers: a centre channel, left and right front, left and right rear and a subwoofer (that’s the “.1” of the equation. The first stereo systems came along in the 1950s. There’s also a chance that you may have a 6.1 system, which involves a centre channel in the rear. Just look at the back panel. Denon has just introduced the 8500H, which is the world’s first 13.2 AV amp. If you’ve upgraded to 7.1, you have a 5.1 system with two side speakers added. There was a dalliance with quadrophonic sound in the 70s before we moved into home theatre set-ups in the 1990s. The 8500H can be set up as a 7.2.6 system (the “6” refers to two rows of speakers in the ceiling), 9.2.4 (nine speakers surrounding you, two subwoofers and four speakers in the ceiling). This is…complicated. But it’s time to throw everything out again. First, we had mono. There’s also a set-up called 7.2.2, which adds in a rear centre channel speaker and a second subwoofer. The 13.2 configuration is used for multi-zone setups through the house. Learn more about the Denon 8500H here.   If you think wiring this monster is a nightmare, you’re right.

Survey says that incidents of sexual harassment at music festivals are way too high

Read more here. After recognizing that festivals and venues did not have procedures in place to address issues of harassment and assault, or coordination and education between security and support teams (like medical, for example) about the next steps to take if these issues arise, the campaign became necessary — as echoed by Riot Fest creative director Jeremy Scheuch when he was asked why the festival partnered with OurMusicMyBody. In 2017, OurMusicMyBody was responsible for the implementation of anti-harassment guidelines and policies at the city’s three major music fests, Pitchfork, Lollapalooza and Riot Fest, as well as more locally focused events Ruido Fest and Green Music Fest. Launched in 2016 as a joint effort between nonprofit organizations Between Friends and Rape Victim Advocates, the OurMusicMyBody campaign aims to promote “fun and consensual music experiences for all” through anti-harassment policies and guidelines at music venues and festivals across Chicago. More than 90 percent of female concertgoers surveyed by OurMusicMyBody experienced being harassed, the campaign said Monday.   Any kind of sexual misconduct is unacceptable anywhere, and people still aren’t getting the message. The campaign also partnered with various venues such as Lincoln Hall, Schubas, Subterranean and Beat Kitchen to provide information at concerts hosted year-round. Check out this disturbing report from the Chicago Tribune.
